Kim Moon-kyung is a ceramic artist whose work examines the hidden and transformative qualities of natural forms to reflect on human life and relationships. She observes, “The completely different exteriors and interiors of fruits, vegetables, and plants… remind me of people… This makes me wonder whether truth really exists in human life,” and translates these observations into her ceramic artworks. Educated at Hongik University (BFA 2002, MFA 2004, Doctoral 2015), her work has been shown in exhibitions such as Happening (Tongin Gallery, 2016) and Deformation (KCDF Gallery, 2015), and is held in collections including the Gwangju City Museum of Art.
