Lee Nam-mu is a ceramic artist based in Icheon Ceramic Village, South Korea, where he co-manages a studio with his wife. Known for his mastery of the Raku kiln and the traditional Buncheong technique, he has led workshops and participated in numerous group exhibitions since 1994. His signature works feature whimsical depictions of tigers or cats, inspired by Hojak-do, the Joseon Dynasty folk tradition portraying a tiger and magpie - symbols of strength, protection, good fortune, and happiness. Through these themes, his ceramics evoke a sense of harmony and auspiciousness.
