Yang Ji-woon is a Korean ceramic artist celebrated for her signature Geum-yeonma Sanggam (gold-polished inlay) technique, a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Goryeo celadon inlay. Using richly coloured clays, clay fragments, and gold inlay, her meticulously polished surfaces create works often compared to raw gemstones. Recognised for her contributions to cultural arts, she received the Today’s Young Artist Award from Korea’s Ministry of Culture, and her work is included in prestigious collections such as Chanel France and LVMH hotels. Through her ceramics, Yang brings traditional Korean heritage into contemporary life, creating functional and high-value art that enriches everyday experiences.
